A Hidden Gem in an Original Queenslander
Tucked away at 6 Macadam Street, Chill Grill & Ride Inn is a one-of-a-kind bed and breakfast set in a beautifully kept early-1900s Queenslander — a rare chance to experience old Maryborough the way it used to be. We're proudly biker-friendly and welcome every kind of traveller, whether you're exploring heritage Maryborough, heading out to Fraser Island, or just need a characterful base on the Fraser Coast.
There's something to discover around every corner: a sparkling pool, gardens with a fountain pond, a cosy fire pit, a BBQ, the old 1900s shack, and lots of lovely places to sit. Our retro Coca-Cola diner and vintage bar set the scene — the diner's just for show (we don't cook on site), but the bar's the perfect spot to unwind: BYO or grab a drink. Then settle in for a round on the pool table or the classic pinball machine.

Is it really biker-friendly?
Absolutely — the “Ride Inn” is no accident. Riders are genuinely welcome, with on-site parking and somewhere to keep your gear. And because we love good hosting, every other kind of guest is just as welcome too.
Are children welcome?
Families are welcome in our downstairs room, which is well suited to children. To keep things peaceful for other guests, the upstairs rooms are adults-only — children aren't able to stay upstairs. Get in touch and we'll set you up in the right spot.
What's included with breakfast?
A continental breakfast comes with every stay — cereal, toast, raisin toast, tea, coffee and the usual bits and pieces. Enjoy it in the sunny sitting room before you head off for the day.
Do you serve meals or cook on site?
No — the retro diner and “Grill” signage are part of the vintage charm (they're for show), so we don't cook meals on the premises beyond the continental breakfast. The bar is the real deal though: BYO, or grab a drink at the bar.
What can guests use during their stay?
Make yourself at home: take a dip in the pool, fire up the BBQ (bring your own), gather around the fire pit, wander the gardens and fountain pond, and challenge a mate on the pool table or the pinball machine. There are lovely places to sit all over the property.
Is there parking?
Yes, there's parking on site — and we're happy to point riders to a good spot for the bikes. Let us know what you're arriving in when you book.
